The world has changed. Gender and sexuality are no longer binary assumptions. They are expressions of identity, fluid scales that evolve with a person. And yet the fashion industry remains constrained by binary gender; Men’s Department, Women’s Department, Men’s Fashion Week and Women’s Fashion Week.
London Queer Fashion Show is a showcase of fashion for queer and gender non-conforming individuals. A chance to express and exhibit clothing for the people that believe in unique identity over gender stereotypes.
It’s a platform to showcase the most talented and exciting LGBTQ+ designers.
It is a powerful statement of how fashion can look, without the constraints of gender norms.
London Queer Fashion Show is brought to you by a group of queers that are bringing to light the best of London’s LGBTQ+ and fashion community.
We come from a range of backgrounds, but have all been creating content and experiences for the LGBTQ+ community for over 15 years combined. Robyn Exton, the CEO of the HER app, Vivienne Errington-Barnes, Events Director for HER. The Fashion Editor of Gay Times, Darkwah Kyei-Darkwah, and the Dapper model & curator of ‘Girl In A Bow Tie’ blog, Laura Kanaplue, Kyla Stroud, LGBTQ+ performer and events producer.
