WHAT IS LONDON QUEER FASHION SHOW?
London Queer Fashion Show is an event to celebrate all that is the queer community. Its a show to express all identities and a space to come together to celebrate who we are, and what we stand for.
WE ARE A SHOWCASE OF THE GREATEST QUEER DESIGNERS, AN EXPRESSION OF ALL IDENTITIES AND A SPACE TO CELEBRATE OUR QUEER COMMUNITY.
London’s queer designers are some of the most impactful and powerful talent creating internationally, and LQFS is here to create a platform that brings these individuals to the forefront.
Our models represent who we are as a community. All identities, all body types, all intersections.
We are led by volunteer models, that represent the people, that represent the fabric of our lives. From advocates and campaigners, to loud and prouds, to fresh on the scene. This is who we are, and who we want to see on our stages.
LQFS is as much a celebration as it is a fashion show. Interlaced with rising and established stars from London’s great queer acts, we hear, see and experience the most exciting London’s queer talent.
MEET THE TEAM:
Viv is our hype man. She knows the queer community like the back of her queer hand and is ready to build partnerships at the drop of a hat. After a career in banking left her feeling soulless and craving more, she moved to become Head of Partnerships at HER. She’s here to bring the strongest brands in to partner with LQFS and tell their story to our queer community.
Robyn is the planner, the puller and the overall helper. From a background running LGBTQ+ social apps, she knows all about the queer community and what our people want. She keeps the team in line and the project passionate.
Aisha is the heartbeat of the London queer community, and leads all our model relations and outreach at LQFS. She knows who’s making an impact, who has a voice and who need to be walking in the show. Oh, and she also leads a secret life as a ground breaking scientist.
Tegen is the queer with no fear. As a model extraordinaire, she’s worked with the likes of Storm for years but gained a passion for the performance after walking the catwalk a few too many times. Now she splits her time between acting and organising the most dramatic London Queer Fashion Show the world has known. She owns the plan, the details and all the execution of our glorious production.
Lucy is Chief Boss in Town. She’s been working in the fashion industry for over 15 years, leading visual merchandising, brand development and her own label. To put it simply, Lucy knows whats up in the London fashion community. She’s our fearless ring leader of the show, producing, directing, leading the charge on the event experience.
Jay has all the creative skills; you always dreamed of having, in their little finger. After graduating from Shillington they moved right in to Brand Identity development, working at Créme Creative, and with companies like LGBT Foundation. They’re a fierce campaigner for the queers and misfits of the North, storming Manchester with their intelligence, acceptance and advocacy for LGBTQ+ people.
